Quaint little place. Nice and open. Inviting, but also able to catch a little privacy with high booth walls. Mostly booth seating. Did not get a chance to check out the cantina. Has some strange hours if you're from the city so double check their open times before making plans.

My first time at the place. I can tell if the food is going to be good by trying salsa an chips. Salsa was awesome! Oh my gosh the flavor was just right! An the food was really good seasoned just right! Great place to take the family. There is also a small bar inside. I will be back.service was great!

Great authentic food. I had the mariachi ( shish kabob) and my mother had enchiladas superior its a seafood enchilada so amazing!

Good food but not great

I have had plenty of mexican food in my life, and i strive for authentic mexican cuisine. This place is hands down the best I have eaten at, fresh home made salsa is to die for and will have u getting extra togo. I had there beef steak Ranchero and it was absolutely delicious perfectly cooked, tender, and perfect balance of spice. It is definitely worth the travel from no matter where you are coming from.

Excellent Food and Service

The best salsa in the area, fast and friendly service, always treated as family. Have tried most items on the menu and everything has been excellent. Highly recommended if you’re anywhere nearby.

Tony and Marta are wonderful hosts. Friendly and outgoing, switching between languages easily. The atmosphere is spacious and open with a beautiful fountain in the middle, just as if you were sitting in lovely private courtyard, yet with small alcoves for dining privacy. The food is good and well-presented. You are welcome to stay, visit and drink in the artwork and atmosphere as long as you like.

Great decor and wonderful service...

Coolest place in town. Inside is done up like a courtyard house with a fountain in the middle and murals all over the walls. Food is great (try the cazuela for something different) and the service is friendly from the charismatic proprietors.

This is one of the best places to eat in Yerington. The food is delicious, the owners are great, and it's got a great atmosphere.

I found this place in the back of a hardware store parking lot, next to an appliance store. The interior is much larger than I anticipated and resembles a town center from days gone by. The booths are underneath Spanish tile roofs, giving the appearance of an outdoor café. A large water fountain holds center stage on the dining room floor. An employee told me that a bar is located in the back area but I did not go in it. My food was very good with the big exception being the beef burrito. The beef was excellent!! The only down side were the chips. They were thicker than other chips that I've had and the flavor slightly confused me. It isn't a bad flavor, but I didn't like it as much as most others. The salsa was very good. The décor, friendly service and the beef burrito pushed me to give it 5 stars instead of 4.CLOSED: Monday, Tuesday and DAILY 2 to 4.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of El Superior. Its truly unique for the area and unlike the other Mexican restaurants in the area. I really enjoyed the margarita I got and feel like this is a great place to take your family. I'm unsure if it was just my dish, but I felt like I was craving a little bit more spice and flavor from my enchiladas, and other people I from my group had similar comments about their food.

Very nice atmosphere, very polite and quick staff. Always enjoy eating here.

Great food and great staff. The prices are mid range and everything is fresh. The atmosphere is pleasant with a fountain in the middle of the room. They always ensure you're happy with your meal. They also have a large menu.

Excellent! My wife and I each enjoyed our dinner. The owner is very gratious. Beautiful decor with paintings all around and a functioning fountain. We are looking forward to our return to this fine establishment.
